Front Leg Outer Crescent Kick
Crescent kicks are traditionally performed with straight legs. The chambered knee coupled with a snapped extension at the end puts through slightly less power, but it gains quite a bit of speed. Additionally - and more importantly - it means pulling the knee through a chambered position that is the same chamber as several other kicks. This provides less telegraphing to the opponent and also allows the kicker to actually change his mind in the middle and throw a different kick. Thus, we lean toward this version of the kick over the more traditional version.
